Chief Clinical Officer
The Chief Clinical Officer serves as a principal senior management team member to facilitate issues related to chiropractic care within the clinical enterprise, promote quality and manage clinical treatment risks within Chiropractic Care of Minnesota, Inc. (ChiroCare), and coach and develop network providers in support of the ChiroCare Mission, Vision, and Values. The position of Chief Clinical Officer must be a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop and lead ChiroCare’s clinical program, procedures, measurements and outcomes.
- Obtain input from and work with ChiroCare’s clinical committees (i.e.: UM and CRM) to facilitate and improve quality clinical initiatives.
- Lead, manage and delegate ChiroCare’s identified goals in quality clinical initiatives process.
- Serve as a spokesperson for ChiroCare’s clinical issues on key committees and with the media and other stakeholders.
- Serve as Senior Clinical Director; providing oversight to all chiropractic care programs and operations.
- Establishes performance criteria for and evaluate all care and quality models.
- Coordinate and communicate with applicable Medical Directors.
- Work closely with key stakeholders (i.e.: carrier partners, third-party administrators, employers, providers, provider groups, etc.).
- Resolve issues related to network providers.
- Participate in key ChiroCare Board and Committee meetings
- Participate in various community-based organizations
- Assist in the business development process, including but not limited to presentations to targeted prospective carrier customers
- Represent ChiroCare’s in communicating Mission, Vision, Values and common goals to the network, carrier customers, etc.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key leaders in the health care community
- Maintain current clinical knowledge, stay current with research and advancements being made, monitoring current literature, etc.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:
- Strong knowledge of the health care/chiropractic care industry including but not limited to knowledge of managed care and its principles.
- Problem solving and assessment expertise.
- Demonstrated dedication to patient care.
- Operational experience.
- Strong communication skills and ability to positively represent ChiroCare to outside organizations.
- Ability to make thoughtful decisions and take decisive action.
- Basic Microsoft skills and abilities (e.g.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to navigate the health care system and build strong working relationships.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:
At a minimum: current unencumbered chiropractic licensure; demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills; knowledge of national utilization management, credentialing, quality improvement standards; and managed care experience. If not licensed in the State of Minnesota, willingness and ability to become licensed in Minnesota and potentially other states as well.
