Continued Focus on Quality Improvement Initiatives in 2016ChiroCare is committed to focusing on quality improvement initiatives that support excellence in patient-centered quality care. Using our patient satisfaction survey (Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems – also known as CAHPS), we utilize patients’ comments and constructive feedback to assist in developing our quality improvement campaigns.
Two topics that continue to be identified as areas of improvement include:
- Perception of hand hygiene
- Maintaining complete and consistent patient medical histories
Similar to last year, we will publish information on best practices in these areas via our News Flash newsletter. This will be accomplished through helpful reminders, new research, and industry recommendations. If you have any tips or recommendations you would like to share, please email them to email@example.com. Together, we can positively impact and improve even more lives through superior health care practices.
March 13-19, 2016 is Patient Safety Awareness Week!In collaboration with the National Patient Safety Foundation, we are placing an enhanced focus on patient safety in recognition of Patient Safety Awareness Week, March 13-19, 2016. Although we are using this week in March to increase awareness, patient-centered and safe care is our organization’s focus every day. Patient safety is a public health issue and we must work together to ensure patients are kept safe and free from harm.
A few safety reminders include:
- Control the spread of infection by washing your hands and cleaning surfaces regularly
- Educate senior patients on how to avoid falls
- Remember to avoid excess imaging that exposes patients to radiation
